Or perhaps you’re here to learn more about it.

I hope the beer meets your expectations and brightens the day for those who’ve bought it — whether enjoyed with a meal at home, during a relaxing moment on the patio, at a barbecue with family and friends, during a break from gardening, on a camping trip or at a lovely venue somewhere across the country.
Bryggare Uebels alcohol-free beer suits most occasions!

A Taste of History
“Bryggare Uebels – A Historic Beer” is an organic, alcohol-free light weissbier brewed from a completely new recipe, inspired by the Bavarian brewing tradition. This beer combines the best of two worlds: the bright freshness of a classic lager and the rounded, smooth flavors of a traditional weissbier.
This brew is more than just a beer. It is a tribute to a master brewer who helped shape Swedish beer tradition — a skilled craftsman and businessman who built a brewing legacy that influenced beer production across large parts of Småland and Sweden. Now, nearly 150 years later, his brewing heritage is brought back to life!

Brewer Carl-Fredrik Uebel (1825–1881)
Brewer Carl-Fredrik Uebel was born in 1825 in the small town of Feuchtwangen in Bavaria, Germany. He would go on to become a pioneer in Swedish brewing. Raised in the Bavarian brewing tradition, he brought his expertise to Sweden in the 1850s and founded several breweries in Småland.

From Bavaria to Småland – A Brewing Story
Uebel grew up in a brewing family. His father ran an inn called “Goldene Falken.” The family also owned a brewery, where Carl-Fredrik learned the craft of brewing beer. Like several German brewers of the time, he traveled to Sweden to introduce Bavarian brewing methods, which helped develop and transform Swedish beer culture.
During his time in Sweden, Carl-Fredrik first worked in Oskarshamn, where he arrived in 1854. He later moved to Vetlanda, where he founded a brewery. In the following years, he established or operated breweries in Växjö (Wexiö Bavarian Brewery), Tingsryd, and at Korrö outside Linneryd. After his death, his son took over, but eventually the brewing tradition ceased.
Now the legacy is revived and brought into the present through the launch of Bryggare Uebels – A Historic Beer.

Crafted with Passion and Tradition
In 2024, a collaboration began with Värmdö Bryggeri to recreate a beer rooted in Uebel’s brewing artistry. The result is a flavorful and well-balanced beer where craftsmanship, quality, and historical connection take center stage.
