Join the soldier (132) Karl-Gottfrid Moberg (1880s), the father of famous author Vilhelm Moberg who wrote books like Raskens and The Emigrants. 132 Moberg will guide you around Småland and Vilhelm Moberg´s home area. Hear about Vilhelm Moberg´s childhood and family, about Swedish local history, and see places where the author lived and found his inspiration for his works.
Hotel pick up and drop off in Växjö, Karlskrona or Kalmar is possible. (Extra fees for car rental and mileage added for this service) The tour is open all year around. For the private tour, 3 hours, our minimum is 10 people booked (adults). |

- Listen to Karl-Oskar as he shares stories of the hard life as a farmer in Småland, see the house where the filming took place, experience the 1800s, and hear about Moberg and his Emigrant books. The journey to America begins!
Duvemåla (the famous village, an inspiration for Moberg and the character Kristina)
- Learn about the village of Duvemåla, Moberg´s grandmother, and of the influence they had on the author as he came up with the lead character Kristina, Karl-Oskar´s dear wife. Visit the house of the four Rundqvist siblings, farmers who lived a very primitive life. Find out about the big treasure that was found in their house after they had passed away.

Ljuder (Sweden´s most famous parish)
- Hear about the parish where the characters in the Utvandrarna (the Emigrants) all came from. Hear about Karl-Oskar & Kristina´s life in America, and see the "America-room", an exhibition of Swedish emigrants to America. See the beautiful buildings in the historic park, and visit the Ljuder church from 1844.
